My Book Killed My Mouse

Now I have to laugh, but when it happened my heart sank, there's not much you can do on a desktop Mac without a mouse! It must have been the wild last rounds of edits A Book is Born has been through over the last 4 weeks that did her in. So I ordered a new mouse and spent the time reading and editing the printout of the manuscript, which was due to the editor 3 weeks ago! I've been an overdue pregnant midwife... a few of the Spring titles had rough deliveries, but the girls and I breathed our way through the revisions and now their babies are getting national attention!
Highlights of our Spring '07 books...
- Jennifer Kalita's The Home Office Parent was released in April and featured in The Wall Street Journal that same month.

Next week I am heading to New York City...which is a long ways from Deadwood! I am beyond excited because I will be meeting a bunch of my authors on this blog IN PERSON for the first time! After knowing some of these incredible women for four years and more, we finally get to cash in those cyber hugs.
On May 30 I meet Malonda who will be participating with me in Hewlett Packard's Moms & Digital Technology panel. On May 31 Christine will be my date to the Ben Franklin Independent Book Awards Ceremony, Wyatt-MacKenzie's Spring audiobook Taking Power Struggle Out of Parenting is up for an award. Then on June 1, I will be picking up Leeda on our way to BEA to meet up with Christine, Malonda, Jennifer, and maybe Marna and Paula, and join Iris to cheer her on in the Forwored Magazine Book-of-the-Year Awards which her book Riding the Infertility Roller Coaster is in the running!
Cheers Gals! ~ Nancy
